Sweden, the largest and most populated Nordic country, is located in northern Europe and borders Norway, Finland and Denmark. It is the fifth largest country in Europe by geographical area. 

The Swedish landscape is engulfed by forests, which account for around 65% of their total land area, and are home to some of the largest lakes in Europe. Their coastline spans approximately 2,000 miles and would take 21 hours non-stop to drive the entire length of the country, from Malmö in the south to Karesuando in the north.

In terms of GDP, Sweden is one of the richest countries in the world and ranks highly in standard of living, outperforming the average income, education, health and environmental quality. Around 50% of exports are from their engineering sector, while telecommunications, the automotive and pharmaceutical industries are also of great significance and contribution. IKEA, Ericsson and Spotify are amongst the world leading companies founded in Sweden.
