Portugal are one of the original member states of the euro area, also known as the eurozone and an important member of the EU, UN and NATO. They have a high-income and developed economy with a high quality of life and advance technological infrastructure.
The country has an abundance of World Heritage sites and is home to the Algarve, famous for its amazing coastline and beaches. They are the only country on mainland Europe that has exactly the same time zone as the UK.
