There are 720 miles from the southernmost point in Uusimaa to the northernmost point in Lapland. It is one of the world’s northernmost countries. The temperature varies considerably between the southern coastal regions and the extreme north.
Finland is one of the richest countries in the world, with its high quality of living standards, world renown welfare system and advancing technology sector. Electronics continue to be one of the largest industries in Finland with companies such as Nokia holding their headquarters in Espoo.
Famous for viewing the Northern Lights, which is the most visible in Finland, and can be seen around two hundred nights of the year.
